The Parade Of The Wooden Soldiers

This jaunty march was written by German composer Leon Jessel in 1897, and in 1922 English lyrics were added by Tin Pan Alley lyricist Ballard MacDonald to create a song featured in many cartoons, shows, and holiday revues ever since. This arrangement is based on the 1993 recording by Harry Connick, Jr. featured on his album "When My Heart Finds Christmas". Although this piece would be an ideal addition to a holiday show, it would also work in a competition set themed around "puppets" or "machine into man".

Instrumentation: Piano/Synth/Guitar/Bass/Drums/Percussion/2 Tpt/1 Tbn/Alto & Baritone Sax
